ROOT Patents

ROOT says many of its products are based on patented or patent-pending technologies developed by Dr. Christina Rahm. ROOT's patent page states that Rahm holds more than 40 patent-pending technologies and 7 approved patents.

On this page we have sorted ROOT's list by the kind codes used in the US patent system. A B1 or B2 at the end of a number means the patent has been granted. An A1 means an application has been published; a published application is not yet a granted patent. That is why, of the numbers ROOT lists under “approved patents”, we only show those with a B1/B2 code as “granted”.

Granted patents (B1/B2)

A record without a kind code

ROOT counts “Water Soluble Electrolyzed Silicon Dioxide Formulation”, number US-12582671, among its approved patents and links it to Clean Slate. ROOT's page shows no kind code for this number and gives no link to the document, so we are not adding it to the granted list until we can verify it.

Published applications and pending applications

The records below are applications. Filing or publishing an application does not mean a patent will be granted.

  • US-20170107121-A1 – Water-Soluble Electrolyzed/Hydrolyzed Clinoptilolite Fragments (published application; ROOT lists it among approved patents)
  • US-20170107111-A1 – Water-Soluble Electrolyzed/Solvolyzed Clinoptilolite Fragments (published application; ROOT lists it among approved patents)
  • 17/489,960 – Cold Press Nano-Emulsion Formula and Method for Nutritional Supplements (ROOT links it to Relive Greens, Restore and Clean Slate)
  • 17/542,965 – Extractives of Silicate Production Method (ROOT links it to Clean Slate and some products we don't sell)
  • 17/467,808 – Nanotechnology Super Skin Coating (Enviremware / Skin Defense)
  • 17/458,708 – Filtration System (Enviremware, Skin Defense)
  • 18/938,917 – Clothing Treatment Method and Formation (Enviremware, Skin Defense)
  • 19/187,489 – Coffee Treatment Method (Rahm Roast)

ROOT's page lists 26 further applications. Most of their titles refer to specific diseases or health conditions, and some to cognitive or athletic performance. An application is not evidence of any effect, and these titles could read like health claims about the products, so we do not list them here. ROOT also mentions one record without a published number, marked “coming soon”.

What a patent does and doesn't mean

A patent records that an invention is new and original and gives its owner exclusive rights for a set period. It does not prove that a product has any particular health effect, and it is neither a drug approval nor a quality certificate. Wording in patent documents does not replace product labels or the product information on this site.

You can read the full documents by number on Google Patents or at the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). ROOT publishes PDF copies at drcpatents.com. For more on the founders, see About ROOT.

Frequently asked questions

How many granted patents does ROOT have?

ROOT refers to 7 approved patents held by Dr. Christina Rahm. Four numbers on ROOT's list can be confirmed as granted patents by their B1/B2 kind code: US-10894721-B2, US-11850231-B1, US-11896608-B1 and US-12058998-B1.

Does a patent show that a product works?

No. A patent records that an invention is new and original. It does not prove a product has any particular health effect, and it is not a drug approval.

Why don't you list some of the applications?

Applications whose titles refer to specific diseases or health conditions could read like health claims about the products. Since an application is not evidence of any effect, we only mention how many there are.
