What is Natural Barrier Support?

Natural Barrier Support is one of ROOT's most straightforward formulas. It's a powder that combines just three nutrients: vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc (from zinc sulfate). The label lists no other ingredients, so there are no flavors, sweeteners or fillers. ROOT developed the formula with its own patent-pending technology. "Natural Barrier Support" is the product's brand name, not a description of a health effect.

According to ROOT's Supplement Facts label, one serving of 1.1 g (approx. 1/4 teaspoon) provides:

  • Vitamin C: 1 g (1,111% Daily Value)
  • Vitamin D: 80 mcg (400% Daily Value)
  • Zinc (from zinc sulfate): 25 mg (227% Daily Value)

Other ingredients: none.

These are generous amounts. If you already take a multivitamin or other products containing vitamin C, vitamin D or zinc, add up your total intake and check with your healthcare professional before combining them.

How to use

ROOT's label says: take 1/3 teaspoon a day. Store in a cool, dry place.

  • Note that the label's serving size is about 1/4 teaspoon, while the suggested use is 1/3 teaspoon a day. Stay within the label's suggestion and don't exceed it.
  • The label doesn't specify how to take the powder. Many people stir powders like this into water, juice or a smoothie.
  • Close the jar tightly after use to keep the powder dry.
